Virtual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Washington DC Licensed) - 1099 Contract

Schedule: This is a FFS 1099 position. 100% Remote.

Choose your set schedule:

• Weekday Shifts: Work anytime from 9:00am to 9:00 pm Eastern Time
• Weekend Shifts: Work anytime on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 5pm Eastern Time

Minimum 10 hours of commitment requested. Ability to flex up and down depending on student volumes. Summer hours are available but not required. Weekend and evening availability preferred but not required

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide virtual therapy to college students in Washington DC. This is a fully remote position within the US. We are eager to welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who share our commitment to making mental health care accessible and affordable for students across the United States.

Work Weeks And Hours:

• At least 4 hrs per week of availability (on average) during the academic year. Weekends and evenings preferred but not required
• Ability to flex up and down depending on student volumes
• Summer hours are available, but not required

Compensation:

• $171 per intake session completed (60-minutes)
• $57 per follow up session completed (30-minutes)
• $50 for all no-show intakes, $25 for all no-show follow-ups
• $100 per hour for attending NP collaborative meetings and all hands meetings

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, You Will:

• Conduct high-quality, culturally competent virtual psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments.
• Conduct biopsychosocial intakes focused on whole-person care with clear diagnostic assessments.
• Engage with patients through our collaboration portal.
• Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and on-campus treatment providers.
• Document clinical encounters for effective care coordination.
• Partner with our care navigation team to support students.
• Collaborate with campus care teams to create longer-term treatment plans when necessary.

Who You Are:

• Hold a valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the Washington DC. Multi-state licensure is an added advantage as we operate in all 50 states.
• Possess 1+ years of experience in outpatient community mental health settings.
• Expertise in treating common mental health conditions among college-aged students including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders.
• Understand culturally responsive treatment and have experience with diverse patient groups.
• Comfortable assessing the urgency of escalating risk scenarios.
• Equipped with a quality video camera and a stable internet connection to facilitate virtual care.
