Contract: Full time, permanent

Hours: 38.75, Monday to Friday

Your new role:

What you’ll do: 

As Hard Services Manager, you will support the Contract Service Delivery Manager in the ongoing service delivery of FM services to our public sector client in Wakefield.  The post holder will manage a multi discipline maintenance team and specialist supply chain to ensure all aspects of work are delivered within the service levels expected from the client. 

 

In delivering your role, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement and that all Buildings & Asset Maintenance KPIs have been achieved.
  • To carry out asset verification across the estate, to ensure all major items of plant are recorded on the CAFM system, and when required add/delete assets following lifecycle and project works.
  • To effectively plan PPM work for the maintenance team and sub-contractors using the FM CAFM system, and update the system diary to reflect any changes in PPM dates.
  • To closely liaise with the client to ensure that all works delivered are to the required standard, that there are no disruptions to the school day and where appropriate agree remedial works.
  • To ensure optimum delivery of responsive and cyclical maintenance work is carried out on time and efficiently to meet defined performance expectations.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that RFM obtain the best prices for materials and parts, and to market test suppliers on a regular basis to ensure best value.
  • Where required work on a hands-on basis with the maintenance team to review plant faults, identify and implement an appropriate resolution.
  • Act in the role of Authorised Person Low Voltage for the contract, ensuring permits are issued in relation to complex systems.
  • Act as the engineering lead on the contract, ensuring that Gas Safe, Biomass etc are all maintained, and paperwork is compliant.
  • Liaise with specialist sub-contractors to ensure their service is delivered on time, to the required quality and to the appropriate cost. Ensuring a quality service is received and any defects are rectified satisfactorily.

About you

You’ll have extensive experience of leading a multi-disciplined maintenance team in the provision of Facilities Management services and customer liaison. You'll be able to demonstrate your awareness of statutory requirements for compliance, and able to balance the needs of quality and profit on the contract. You will have previous experience using CAFM and BMS systems. 

 

The successful candidate will require a an Enhanced DBS prior to starting in the role.
