Job description

What's the role?:

Experience in designing and developing distributed, scalable systems.
Expertise in building Java and Scala-based high-performance applications.
Hands-on with REST, GIT, and design patterns.
Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Knowledge of Maven/SBT, GIT, Jenkins, and CI/CD in a Linux environment.
Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Spark/Flink, and AWS is a plus.
Focus on writing reusable, flexible, and reliable code.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with an agile mindset.

Who are you?:

5+ years of software development experience,
Excellent applied skills in Java and/or Scala programming, in combination with backend architectures, messaging technologies, and related frameworks
Strong and applied AWS skills (EC2, S3, RDS,), as well as experience with virtualization tools like Docker is good to have
Strong and applied experience in REST-based web service technologies, JSON and XML, SOA, and microservices architectures
Strong and applied DBMS & SQL skills, with a strong preference for PostgreSQL / PostGIS
Strong experience with CI/CD tools, with a preference for Jenkins
Solid knowledge of programming practices, striving to write great code that is reusable, flexible, and reliable.
Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with an agile mindset
