Job Description

Cognizant’s Global Marketing Social Media team is looking for an experienced social media strategist and channel manager, highly skilled in content strategy and development, channel/community management, and end-to-end campaign activation and oversight.

The successful candidate must have a clear, straightforward communication style with internal associates, experience working with executive leadership, working best practices for social media copywriting and design, and deep experience with implementing a multi-channel campaign. They will have a seat at the table with our Corporate Communications organization, helping to define and amplify the best storytelling with social media messaging and creative.

Our new team member must be able to think on their feet — demonstrating planning capability to execute on deliverables, manage stakeholders, and coordinate details. They must understand how best to collaborate and convert business-unit goals into relevant social media strategies and activations with our partners and colleagues. They must have the ability to juggle multiple projects, work on tight deadlines, and be okay with occasional flex hours. Native-speaking/fluent English writing skills are required.

This role will report into the Head of Global Social Media and partner closely with Global Marketing leaders, the Global Corporate Communications team, and the External and Executive Communications team.

Responsibilities

  • Work at the speed of social, translating stakeholder requests into compelling social content across our brand channels.
  • Be onsite at strategic activations to capture photography, video and takeaways to share instantly on key social platforms.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand business and operational objectives/needs and manage development timelines for social media creative and campaign activations.
  • Define and scope programs or deliverables with key success metrics at top of mind.
  • Create and manage social media content calendars; Deliver on-time projects and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Create and oversee project timelines and drive the team to meet the deadlines.
  • Manage communication coordination among team members so that there is clarity of purpose and outcome across marketing disciplines.
  • Juggle multiple projects simultaneously, keeping track of and communicating progress to team members as necessary.
  • Liaise with internal creative resources and external agencies to execute creative deliverables.
  • Develop professional relationships with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Create copy and visual content leveraging brand-approved templates.
  • Own social media content delivery.
  • Work with our Corporate Communications team and immediate stakeholders to understand their content needs and deliver appropriate strategies and activations.

Required

Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in progressive social media and content-marketing project management roles in a corporate, agency or media environment.
  • A mindset for innovation at clock-speed.
  • Proven proficiency in writing English-language social media communications for technology and B2B brands, senior executives, and diverse, global audiences.
  • Proven ability in developing and executing social media campaigns.
  • Content creation skills (phone-based photo/video).
  • Proficiency with Canva.
  • Experience with Sprinklr preferred.
  • Ability to quickly translate stakeholder requests into social content.
  • The ability to work in a hybrid-environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Marketing degree preferred.)
