Job Description

As a member of the Service Operations team in Cloud Security, you will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of a wide array of systems and technologies. You will help engineer and deploy native applications as well as support configuration and implementation of third-party services. You will be responsible for leading and overseeing numerous complex projects and initiatives that affect the entire cloud. You will work with other Cloud Security teams to ensure they are getting the support and telemetry from various tools and systems to properly protect Oracle and its customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical degree
  • 2+ years work experience in a DevOps or similar role
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python or Ruby
  • Experience with Containers and orchestration services like Kubernetes, Docker etc
  • Solid understanding and work experience with fundamental network technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, and HTTP
  • Experience in configuration management technologies such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Experience with integrating tools like GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Spinnaker, and Argo into comprehensive CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of how to configuration, deployment, management and maintenance of large cloud-hosted systems; including auto-scaling, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and disaster recovery
  • Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing pipelines


Responsibilities

  • As a Security Engineer in Service Operations, you will be responsible for working on the development and implementation of numerous security systems for our cloud
  • You will own pipelines delivering quality updates and upgrades to systems as necessary
  • You will work with other security teams to ensure the tooling and systems are meeting their needs to protect Oracle.
