SCM Principal Solution Engineer, EMEA Apps Presales Center of Excellence

We are looking for an energetic, creative individual with passion and enthusiasm who will engage with our customers and prospects and guide them in their journey to Cloud, within the Oracle EMEA Apps Solution Engineering Channel Services team. The successful hire will play a pivotal role in helping grow EMEA Apps business as part of the solution engineering team based in Egypt and supporting the growth of the channel business in the designated ECEMEA territory.

As a Principal Solution Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment, alongside a talented and high-performing team. This role requires strong personal drive, business acumen and in-depth product and industry expertise. This is a customer-facing role, where you will be engaging with Oracle sales teams, Oracle Partners and Oracle customers daily.

You will deliver highly effective product demonstrations to Oracle prospects and customers in either a digital or hybrid setting. You will focus on end2edn delivery of presales activities during the sales cycle, either individually or as part of an Oracle or Oracle & partner extended team. You will support Oracle SaaS opportunities with Oracle FUSE product expertise and knowledge across multiple industries, supporting the ECEMEA business and you will be part of the EMEA Apps Solution Engineering Channel Services piloting the support to deployment of the channel model across EMEA Apps. The EMEA Apps Solution Engineering Channel Services (formerly known as SE Interactive EMEA) is a customer-facing digital presales organization supporting sales opportunities in the assigned territory end2end. The scope of the team is two-fold:

  • Solution Engineering support for Oracle EMEA Apps Sales in achieving sales targets & results. The team provides end2end opportunity support, as well as developing a portfolio of gold standard business practices & assets fit for our assigned accounts and territories. Oracle FUSE coverage (ERP, EPM, SCM, HCM). Manage assigned opportunities directly or in co-delivery model with target partners.
  • Support partners across EMEA Apps to help scale Oracle application Cloud business. We act as a channel services team and work alongside target partners on deals to achieve results. Our focus is on co-delivery, acting as one extended team and sharing presales best-practices with target partners and help them transition towards direct delivery of Solution Engineering activities.


What You’ll Do

  • End2end presales activities on assigned sales opportunities / customer engagements. A position of Principal Solution Engineer in the EMEA Apps Solution Engineering Channel Services team bears the primary responsibility to support the sales team across the region to drive sales to success by providing product expertise and business acumen for selling Oracle SaaS Applications (focus Supply Chain Management) solutions in direct and/or channel (co-delivery) sales cycles.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations and product demonstrations for Oracle Cloud Applications in all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Provide technical & functional expertise on Oracle Supply Chain Management during customer engagements while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical & functional expertise on other Oracle SaaS solutions as the need may arise in alignment to personal development plans and business needs.
  • Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product direction and overall positioning for Oracle SaaS solutions.
  • Effectively work alongside other Oracle Solution engineers & Partners to deliver an effective and impactful One Oracle Experience to prospects & customers.
  • Effectively communicate the Oracle product strategy and plans and increase mind share within the partner community.
  • Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
  • Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally and able to navigate and effectively manage business successfully in a heavily matrixes organization.


Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate the credibility of Oracle's products and solutions, at all levels, but with a particular focus on executives and other key decision makers in the customers' organization
  • Actively maintain in depth product knowledge in the designated product areas
  • Run workshops for partners and represent Oracle at industry events
  • Work directly with partners on deals in a co-delivery and coaching mindset
  • Remain current on industry trends and jargon and maintain awareness of all relevant competitive products
  • Evangelize to customers and partners value propositions for Oracle FUSE offering
  • Ability to successfully deliver sessions in a digital / hybrid setting.

  • Deep understanding of the SCM solutions space; experience with SaaS solutions is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Oracle SCM products or competitive products is expected.
  • Ability to easily understand customer requirements and to position a solution to meet the key needs of customers is a key differentiator
  • Ability to easily provide presentations and/or product demonstrations to user and/or senior level audiences.
  • Industry-specific experience in SCM (e.g. Retail, Utilities, Manufacturing) is an advantage
  • Fluency in English is expected since you will be working with customers and partners across the region.
  • Native proficiency in Arabic.
  • Good understanding of technology and can-do attitudes are required.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution abilities are expected.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team is a must.
  • Good understanding of, and passion for, digital and emerging trends in SCM / SaaS like Gen AI, Machine learning, IoT technologies etc.
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills.
  • Enjoys engaging directly with sales, C-level customers and partners.
