Avertium is looking for a penetration tester for a contract role. This position will involve network and web application penetration testing and client presentations. The expectation is that a candidate will be able to be a self-starter with minimal guidance to perform testing within Avertium’s methodology.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform network penetration tests
  • Perform web application penetration tests
  • Present and provide guidance on vulnerability remediation in reporting and client meetings.
  • Perform administrative duties in relation to penetration testing and reporting

  • Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s in information security or a related field is preferred.
  • A candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 4+ years in performing penetration tests within a consulting role
  • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and industry best practices is required.
  • Expert knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Professional certifications from viable authorities (Offensive Security, SANS) are required
  • Experience and proficiency in network and system administration is required. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team collaboration and cross-functional communication with stakeholders is required.
