Avertium is looking for a penetration tester for a contract role. This position will involve network and web application penetration testing and client presentations. The expectation is that a candidate will be able to be a self-starter with minimal guidance to perform testing within Avertium’s methodology.

Responsibilities:

Perform network penetration tests

Perform web application penetration tests

Present and provide guidance on vulnerability remediation in reporting and client meetings.

Perform administrative duties in relation to penetration testing and reporting

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s in information security or a related field is preferred.

A candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

4+ years in performing penetration tests within a consulting role

Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and industry best practices is required.

Expert knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Professional certifications from viable authorities (Offensive Security, SANS) are required

Experience and proficiency in network and system administration is required.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective team collaboration and cross-functional communication with stakeholders is required.
