What You Will Do:
The Junior Appian Developers at Guidehouse design, develop, test, and deploy Appian applications for our clients. Our junior developers work with a team of experienced developers to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
- Design and develop Appian applications according to client requirements
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test Appian applications
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Collaborate with business analysts to understand client needs and requirements
- Ensure Appian applications are scalable, reliable, and performant
- Troubleshoot and debug Appian applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Appian features and capabilities
- Participate in Appian certification programs and maintain Appian certification
- Create technical documentation and user guides
What You Will Need:
- Must be Authorized to work in the US
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- Ability to achieve Appian certifications upon hire
- Proficient in Appian development best practices Minimum 1 years of professional and Appian development experience
- Understanding of Appian platform, including Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, and Rules
- Experience working in Agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
- Understanding of Appian integrations with 3rd party applications
- Client-facing written and oral communications skills, relationship focus, and strong technical and business acumen
- Compensation may vary based on education, skills, experience and location.
- This is an exempt level role that may require more than 40 hours of work per week.
- Selected Candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours.
- May need to come into the office three (3) times per week
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Active Appian Associate Developer certifications
- Experience with Java, SQL, and web services
- Work experience on a software development project in a federal government setting or with Federal Acquisition Management
- An ‘early adopter’ mindset for new Appian platform features
- Prefer candidates that are local to McLean, VA
The annual salary range for this position is $65,900.00-$98,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
