Summary of Job Duties:
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at our family medical clinic in Magnolia, AR offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic healthcare professional to provide direct patient care and contribute to the well-being of our community. As a key member of our team, the RN will be responsible for coordinating care, triaging patients, and collaborating with clinic providers, fellows, and staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
The Registered Nurse promotes wellness, improves outcomes, and promotes self-care within a defined population. The RN will support, educate, and assist patients with chronic conditions in preventing disease and ensuring health and wellness. They will coordinate care and/or follow-up for patients who receive care in outpatient facilities. Together with physician staff, they will coordinate prescription refill requests and patient education. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing.
  • Minimum of (1) one year of Nursing experience or two (2) years LPN clinical experience.
  • Valid Arkansas Registered Nursing License.
  • BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experienced RN with a minimum of three (3) year of RN experience.
  • One (1) year of clinic or ambulatory setting experience.
  • Charge nurse and/or leadership experience.

  • Critical Thinking: The ability to analyze complex information, formulate appropriate nursing diagnoses, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to educate patients, their families, and clinic staff.
  • Collaboration: The ability to work collaboratively with clinic providers, fellows, and staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Empathy: The ability to empathize with patients and their family, providing compassionate care and understanding throughout their journey.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to an ever-evolving healthcare landscape, incorporating best practices and new technologies into patient care.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to accurately interpret and communicate medical instructions. Certification: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Arkansas, as well as any additional certifications or qualifications specific to the clinic's patient population.
  • Clinical Experience: Prior experience in an RN role, preferably in a family medical clinic or a similar setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all ages, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the clinic visit.
  • Triage patients, assess their symptoms, and determine the appropriate level of care based on the urgency and severity of their condition.
  • Collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of care and follow-up.
  • Analyze complex and ongoing patient assessments and data to identify patient needs, develop appropriate nursing diagnoses, and prioritize multiple nursing diagnoses and collaborative medical problems into the plan of care (POC).
  • Educate patients, their families, and clinic staff about medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust the plan of care as needed.
  • Document patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in a detailed and concise manner.
  • Assist in administering medications, treatments, and other therapeutic interventions as ordered by the attending provider.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly clinic environment, ensuring proper sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinic team to ensure efficient patient flow and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in nursing practices and contribute to the ongoing professional development of the clinic team.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
