About this opportunity
You’ll be Head of Product, a key part of our Leadership team within the Unsecured Personal Loans & Affordability Business. Together we manage the largest unsecured personal loans business in the UK, across Lloyds, Halifax, BOS and MBNA brands. We're a fun, dynamic and fast paced team who are at the forefront of leading the way for customers & colleagues in transforming & digitising the Retail Bank for Lloyds Banking Group.
Leading a team of 15 Product specialists, you'll be accountable for product management and development, the customer outcomes and the end-to-end journeys across the lifecycle of the loans, representing more than 1m customers. We're in the middle of an exciting transformation and growth phase against a competitive landscape.
What does the job entail?
We are seeking an experienced Product leader to join the Loans leadership team to manage the portfolio on a day-to-day basis as well as define and deliver our future strategy. Role responsibilities will include:
Managing the risk profile and control environment for the portfolio, delivering risk reduction activity to achieve our residual risk targets and enhance our controls.
Awareness of the regulatory landscape and proactively respond to any regulatory change including Consumer Duty developments.
Championing the Customer agenda and driving action from customer insight and continuing to embed Consumer Duty.
Managing external vendor / supplier relationships navigating commercial agreements and service levels
Setting and delivering the Product Strategy and Target Operating Model to enable delivery of the commercial plan.
Working with the Platform to define and prioritise product roadmaps as well as the shaping, design and delivery of product changes.

What you'll need
Experience in building and leading inclusive collaborative team cultures and a desire to actively drive your own as well as the team’s development and talent pipeline.
Strategic thinking with a passion for creating outstanding customer experiences.
Awareness of latest technology and digital solutions to meet our customer’s needs.
An intellectually curious outlook, where you seek to innovate and adapt quickly from setbacks.
Prior experience of product management including the delivery of financial, strategic metrics, credit, risk and client experience metrics
Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to identify tactical and strategic improvement opportunities, informed by both internal performance metrics and broader industry and market insight.
Experienced leader able to distil often complex problems into easy to understand outcomes and lead their team to success, delivering business results through others by coaching, training & developing.
Commercial skills, being able to set out and make trade offs for the best outcome.
Ability to Communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation, including the Group Executive Committee (GEC).
Utilises customer and market insights, in collaboration with propositions and platform teams, to make strategic recommendations at a senior level.
