Job Description:

Responsible for managing Indirect Supply Chain categories and sub-categories worldwide.

The Indirect team supports the procurement of goods and services needed to operate the infrastructure of our core global operations, e.g., the Indirect Category of spend. The goods and services classified as Indirect are commonly bought for consumption by internal stakeholders (corporate functions or offerings).

Sub-categories include but are not limited to:

  • Business Services:  Marketing & Communications, Events/Sponsorships, Branded Merchandise, Market Intelligence, Office Consumables, Business Print Services

  • Corporate Services:  Travel, Expense, Card, Fleet, Logistics

  • Global Real Estate:  Real Estate & Facilities, Utilities, Data Center Co-Location, Environmental Health & Safety, Global Resiliency

  • Human Resources:  Benefits & Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Payroll Services

  • Professional Services:  Certified Public Accounting, Business Process Consulting, Environment Social Governance

Responsibilities include setting category strategies; supply base development to meet the company requirements; and supplier contracting and negotiations; supplier qualification; and establishing quality processes / resolving quality issues.

Emphasis is on strategy, supplier development, negotiations, business relationships, quality, cost, assurance of supply, and predictability. Develops the company procurement strategies, policies, and tactics required to achieve objectives. The primary objective is to reduce the cost of supply and meet demand requirements, business and quality specifications, and revenue goals. Adds value to the company by managing performance aspects of major contracts and subcontracts.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Support Corporate Functions and Offerings with sourcing and contracting requirements.

  • Analyzes industry trends and procurement performance to support a supply category, and reports results of analyses to the procurement manager.

  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to meet procurement objectives.

  • Meets with senior members in an observer capacity to learn about business priorities.

  • Learns to use supply chain and financial modeling tools.

  • Engages with partners' projects.

  • Performs tasks as assigned and applies experience to align individual work with overall strategy using discretion and judgment.

  • Reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Who you are:

Candidates for this role must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role in procurement or supply chain function.

  • Proven experience in supply chain management.

  • Proficiencies in vendor management, cost control, and procurement strategies.

  • Good knowledge and use of procurement tools and applications.

  • Good understanding of procurement processes, industry, and suppliers.

  • Strong analytical skills.

In addition to the basic qualifications noted above, we find that individuals who are successful in this role have:

  • Supply Chain Management experience in support of Indirect categories considered a plus.

  • Experience in stakeholder management, able to demonstrate meeting stakeholder needs and still driving supply chain strategies.

  • Good business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) and basic supply chain modeling skills.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).

  • Good teamwork skills.
