The Role
The Messaging Engineering organization at Netflix crafts and delivers dynamic multi-channel messaging to supercharge acquisition, retention, and engagement. We own the cutting-edge infrastructure and tools that enable us to connect with over 220 million users worldwide, sending an impressive 100 billion messages annually. Our focus on experimentation and A/B testing fuels innovation across Email, Push notifications, and in-app messages. We also champion enterprise messaging needs, ensuring seamless internal communications. By leveraging scalable capabilities, we deliver timely, personalized messages that drive Netflix’s strategic priorities, from Streaming and Live events to Games, Ads, and Content Production. In essence, we are the voice of Netflix to the customer.
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who is passionate about delivery, enjoys cutting through ambiguity to achieve clarity, and is a strong communicator at all levels of the organization. You will work with a cross-functional group of platform engineers, testers, and distributed systems engineers to lead the evolution of Netflix Messaging across all our devices.
Primary responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various organizational departments to drive the execution of Messaging initiatives across Netflix.
- Stakeholder management across engineering teams, to executive stakeholders between technical and non-technical roles
- Leverage the insights and experience from this work to influence the improvement of underlying technologies, architectures, and operations.
- Apply strong technical, organizational, and communication skills to devise sound technical approaches to abstract goals.
- Identify the systems involved to build new solutions, align roadmaps, and weigh relative priorities.
- Establish an overall plan for numerous teams to evolve the playback ecosystem
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks.
- You are a strong communicator with exceptional listening skills. You can operate independently, challenge the status quo, and always play for the larger team.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
