Interwell Health seeks a seasoned Accounting professional! As a Senior Accountant reporting directly to the Manager, Accounting, you will oversee the billing process and cash application and optimize revenue collection. This role provides customer service to both external and internal stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and collaborate to streamline billing operations. You’ll partner closely with the Manager, Accounting and Senior Billing Analyst in day-to-day billing and collections functions. What You Will Do: 

  • Generate and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.   
  • Apply client cash in timely manner and track payments and follow up on overdue accounts.   
  • Analyze revenue transactions to determine appropriate recognition under both US GAAP and IFRS.   
  • Independently analyze billing data and financial reports to identify trends and discrepancies in revenue and monthly billing.  
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting related to billing and revenue.   
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to billing matters and address customer concerns and disputes.   
  • Collaborate with the sales, customer support, and finance departments to ensure billing accuracy and resolve issues. 
  • Partner with the billing, revenue and collection team on related matters. 
  • Collaborate with the operations team on data integrity/completeness, understanding contracts and SalesForce cases relating to billing, collections, and revenue.

What You Will Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, including ASC606 revenue recognition, and billing and collections experience. 
  • Proven, advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, or Blackline). 
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulations including GAAP and IFRS. 
  • CPA certification preferred, with Big4 Public Accounting experience as a plus. 
  • A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to learn quickly with a drive for continuous improvement and navigate ambiguity effectively. 
  • A high sense of urgency and the ability to be detail-oriented and multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually (a few days per year for onsite meetings as needed)
