We are looking for our first Head of People to focus on building people processes to support the fast-paced growth of Monad Labs and fostering its ability to scale.

What You Will Do
  • Design and execute talent management practices in a fast-paced environment while building a high-performing culture of growth and development
  • Partner with and advise senior leaders across C-suite and engineering management to proactively diagnose and communicate trends around their people and teams (i.e., engagement, development, retention, collaboration)
  • Develop growth strategy and headcount roadmap/planning in partnership with senior leaders across engineering and recruiting, taking into consideration unique capabilities that should be added
  • Refine the organization’s approach to career progression, compensation, and leveling
  • Contribute to and support broader people projects spanning culture, retention, training, and performance management
  • Understand the needs of our employees and take ownership of identifying and implementing solutions
  • Effectively coach team members and deliver feedback in a constructive and productive manner
  • Lead change management and organizational communication to support new People team initiatives
  • Manage all people operations functions, including but not limited to benefit and compensation administration, HRIS management and employee data, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, leave management, compliance
Who You Are
  • 10+ years of People Operations experience working with high-growth tech companies and/or startups
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build and execute people initiatives from scratch
  • Previous leader of efforts around talent development, leveling, headcount planning, and other people partnership initiatives
  • Experience managing a globally dispersed workforce
  • Significant experience in benefits administration, systems administration, payroll/compensation and related HR-process functions
  • Strong operational thinker, with a knack for solving problems and building solutions
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally and developing partnerships across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times
  • Strong handle on compliance with local employment laws and best practices in the space
Personal Attributes
  • Low ego
  • Empathetic
  • Independent
  • Organizational skills
  • Extremely strong work ethic
  • A desire to bring people together
Why Work with Us
  • Huge opportunity. EVM is ubiquitous but existing EVM-compatible chains are very slow. Monad’s core innovations offer developers the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer for mass user adoption in crypto.
  • The right team. We are assembling a world-class team. Check out our team here.
  • Culture. We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low egos, and high-quality outputs. As an early member of our team, you’ll help continue to shape our culture.
  • Impactful work. Your work will be deeply impactful, making decentralized computation orders of magnitude cheaper and more plentiful, ultimately paving the way for new dapps that improve many people’s lives.
  • Compensation. You’ll receive a competitive salary and equity package.
  • Resources and growth. We’re well-capitalized, with backing from leading venture funds like Paradigm, Electric Capital, Greenoaks, Dragonfly, and Coinbase Ventures, and from leaders in the space like Cobie. We keep a lean team relative to the size of the opportunity, and this is a rare opportunity to join. You’ll learn a lot and grow as our company scales.
Salary and Benefits

Minimum full-time salary of $200,000.  (**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.)
