Job Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Demand and Production Planning Manager to drive our forecasting and production scheduling processes. This role will work closely with sales, operations, finance, and logistics to develop accurate forecasts and production plans that align with sales demand and ensure optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in production planning, a collaborative approach, and the ability to balance sales forecasting with efficient production schedules. This role is essential for reducing supply chain stress, optimizing vendor relations, and supporting Tactacam's growth goals. 

Responsibilities: 

● Develop and manage annual demand forecasts in collaboration with the sales team, ensuring accuracy based on historical data, market trends, and planned growth targets.

● Evaluate sales forecasts for feasibility and reasonableness, balancing demand with historical performance and production capacity. 

● Create and maintain production schedules, coordinating with the supply chain and sales teams to prioritize production and fulfill sales forecasts. 

● Track and analyze production schedules and KPIs, ensuring on-time and efficient production to meet inventory and sales needs. 

● Act as the primary liaison between the sales, supply chain, and vendor teams, facilitating clear communication on production priorities and inventory requirements.

● Collaborate with finance to align production planning with budget considerations and financial goals. 

● Manage relationships with vendors to ensure capacity alignment and prevent overstaffing or underproduction based on forecast accuracy. 

● Utilize NetSuite to integrate demand forecasting and production planning, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation. 

● Proactively identify areas for improvement in the demand and production planning processes, suggesting and implementing process enhancements. 

● Provide data-driven insights to leadership on forecast accuracy, production bottlenecks, and areas for strategic improvement. 

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or a related field.

● 8+ years of experience in production planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management. 

● Proven experience working with NetSuite for demand planning and production scheduling. 

● Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to demand planning and production optimization. 

● Ability to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with sales, logistics, and vendor teams. 

● Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges. 

● Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
