Skills and Competencies
- Deep understanding of Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, MS Teams, Teams Telephony, and OneDrive for Business.
- PowerShell scripting expertise for Office 365 administration and automation.
- Strong knowledge of both on-premises AD and Azure AD, including user synchronization, group policies, and identity management.
- Familiarity with email security protocols and technologies, such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Experience with configuring and managing DLP policies, compliance management, and eDiscovery in the M365 environment.
- Experience with configuring and managing MDM solutions within Intune or similar platforms, ensuring secure mobile access to M365 services.
- Experience with email archiving solutions like Global Relay will be preferred.
- Expertise in managing hybrid Exchange environments and troubleshooting MS Teams, including voice configurations, Teams telephony and administering Teams policies is preferred.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices and prior experience in a tech lead/SME role is highly desirable.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7-10 years of experience managing M365 Exchange environments.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Tech lead or Senior Engineer role.
- Any of the Microsoft Certification (Modern Desktop Administrator Associate/ Enterprise Administrator Expert/ Messaging Administrator Associate) and ITIL certification will be a plus
Responsibilities
- M365 Exchange Administration:
- Manage and maintain the entire M365 Exchange environment.
- Oversee mailbox creation, migration, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and manage email security, archiving, and compliance policies.
- OneDrive Management:
- Administer and support OneDrive for Business, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OneDrive issues, including sync problems and user access.
- Mobility Management:
- Manage mobile device policies and ensure secure access to M365 services.
- Implement and enforce mobile security policies, including Intune management.
- Global Relay Administration:
- Oversee the integration and management of Global Relay for email archiving and compliance.
- Ensure proper functioning and regular maintenance of Global Relay systems.
- Team Leadership:
- Mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Identify training needs within the team & conduct trainings sessions.
- Improve overall efficiency and enhance collaboration within & outside the team with other TSG/CSG groups.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide Level 3 support for complex technical issues related to M365 services.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of M365 services.
- Stay updated on the latest M365 features, updates, and best practices.
- Project Management:
- Lead and participate in M365-related projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Documentation, Reporting & Compliance:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of M365 configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on M365 usage, performance, and compliance.
- Participate in annual compliance audits of the M365 environment.
