Our Office in Torrance, CA is hiring for a Tax Coordinator. The Tax Coordinator will be responsible for handling a broad range of administrative responsibilities within the tax department as well as across the broader WMS department. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering excellent client service, with exceptional organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 plus annual bonus (non-exempt)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible and key team member to facilitate tax fee proposals between EP Wealth clients and BDO
- Responsible for monitoring tax preparation clients return statuses and reporting to tax team members and advisor teams
- Maintain organized and accurate tax records, including filings, correspondence with tax authorities, and internal reports.
- Partner with our finance team on billing and invoicing processes during tax season
- Partner with the tax managers to escalate client issues or concerns to the appropriate team member
- Act as point of contact between members of the wealth management services department, advisors, and team members
- Participate in team strategy discussions
- Assist in special projects that pertain to EP’s partnership integration strategy
- Assist members of the department with special projects
- Communicate with external service providers
- Collaborate with advisor teams to ensure clients goals/objectives are being met
- Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature as necessary in order to achieve the firm’s business development and client retention objectives
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform business functions with focus on consistency, quality, and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Previous experience with Tax duties highly desired
- Project management experience a plus
- Good written and communication skills.
- 2+ years as a Tax administrative or executive assistant, preferably in a CPA or Financial institution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Exemplary planning and time management skills
- Strong initiative and organizational skills, advanced problem solving skills and conflict resolution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere, effectively prioritize while maintaining exceptional customer service skills and professional communication
- Exceptional follow through, reliable
- Ability to maintain positive attitude, self-motivated, ethically sound judgement
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including flexibility, tact, and diplomacy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
