About the Program
Syensqo is launching a Global Business Services (GBS) Internship Program within our Finance Service Line, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to and shape Syensqo's global finance operations. As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals, gaining hands-on experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Internal Controls. This program will be hosted across two service centers: Lisbon and Curitiba.
Join us in a dynamic, multicultural environment, where you’ll have the chance to develop essential finance skills, learn about international standards, and play an active role in Syensqo’s financial transformation journey.

 

Key Responsibilities
During your internship, you may support one or more of the following areas:

  • Accounting Support:
  • Assist in the financial closure of one or several legal entities, including monthly IFRS and yearly statutory reporting.
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Financial Analysis & Technical Support:
  • Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data and provide insights for stakeholders.
  • Help resolve technical accounting issues and address requests from external auditors.
  • Assist with data preparation and responses for audits, supporting the integrity of financial records.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance:
  • Learn about and participate in implementing internal controls, following Group guidelines and local operating procedures.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance within all reporting and operational tasks

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge of accounting principles with IFRS is a plus.
  • Understanding of ERP systems (SAP experience is advantageous).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (required). Additional languages are a plus.
