You have a strong skill set and proven background in automating software deployment pipelines, building infrastructure, and managing resources in AWS cloud. Position Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer in the EverHealth division, you will be a member of our growing DevOps team responsible for managing infrastructure and deployments in a CoLo datacenter while designing and implementing cloud infrastructure in AWS, building and maintaining tools for application development and deployment, and providing support for application, data, and security engineers. You will be working on creating and improving the Kubernetes workloads, terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, and ensuring service uptime and scalability in response to surging user traffic loads.
Our software engineering teams oversee numerous codebases that drive our customer-facing front-end and back-end API services and multiple third-party API integrations. Your role will involve providing support to these teams by enhancing and upkeeping our environments. This will include leveraging tools such as docker-compose, Kubernetes (K8S), Helm, Terraform, Ansible, TeamCity, Argo CD and more.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain physical infrastructure including VMs, Hypervisors and networking.
Collaborate closely with development, performance, and architecture teams to deploy new applications and assist in the maintenance and enhancement of existing non-production and production environments.
Establish and sustain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and methodologies.
Containerize legacy applications, deploy and manage Kubernetes (K8S) workloads through Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (AWS EKS) or Nomad, ensuring their ongoing maintenance and performance.
Introduce innovative deployment and release tools to enhance the productivity of development teams such as ArgoCD.
Work on enhancing dependability and reducing the impact of production deployments.
Assist with infrastructure and production support:
Support production and non-production infrastructure, including troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, and automation
Support application components and dependencies, such as databases and queueing systems
Maintain and improve monitoring and alerting systems
Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support and release deployments
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate has 3+ years experience with the following practices and technologies in a production environment:
- Linux server administration: configuration, troubleshooting, tuning, hardening, and monitoring
- Application traffic management using tools such as Nginx and HAProxy, or API gateways
- Configuration management with Ansible
- Managing, scaling, and upgrading clustered data stores, such as Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
- Upgrading and maintaining production systems without downtime
- Monitoring and observability systems, such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack
- Troubleshooting distributed applications
And additionally, 1+ years' experience with the following:
- Data center networking: routing, switching, VPN technologies, and firewall policy management
- Deploying and managing Java applications
- Managing CI / CD pipelines with on-prem tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins
- Containers and orchestration platforms, such as Amazon ECS, EKS, or Hashicorp Nomad
- Compliance standards such as PCI, SOX, and HIPAA
Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation
The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 USD per year in most US locations.
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
