Role Overview:
We’re seeking an innovative CTO / VP of Technology & Innovation to lead the technology strategy for our Global Data Center Solutions. This pivotal role will shape our technology vision, overseeing product and solution innovation, architecture, and operational excellence. The CTO will play a vital role in driving sustainable growth and positioning us as a leader in data center technology. This role requires deep expertise in the data center industry and will be responsible for defining the technology roadmap to meet current and future market demands. With a focus on architecture oversight, product and solution innovation, and manufacturing optimization, the CTO will drive cross-functional collaboration and position Johnson Controls as a technology leader in the data center space, enabling sustainable growth and customer success.
What You’ll Do:
Lead Innovation: Develop and execute our tech strategy, focusing on cutting-edge advancements in AI, IoT, cloud, and high-performance computing.
Architect Solutions: Ensure our data center solutions deliver on performance, scalability, and reliability, meeting top industry standards.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work with Product, Sales, Operations, and Marketing to align technology with business needs and customer goals.
Shape the Market: Represent Johnson Controls as a thought leader in the industry, sharing insights and aligning tech initiatives with market demands.
Governance & Security: Maintain rigorous governance processes, focusing on compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management.
What We’re Looking For:
15+ years of tech leadership experience in the data center industry, with deep expertise in data center technologies such as Thermal Cooling, AI, IoT, HVAC, fire, security, and control systems.
Proven experience in portfolio design, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong communicator with a track record of engaging C-level execs and external partners.
Bachelor's in Engineering or Computer Science required; MBA or advanced technical degree a plus.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $217,200 - $298,600 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
