We are seeking an experienced LATAM Payroll Team Lead to to join our dynamic team at [Your Company Name]. In this key leadership role, you will oversee and manage payroll operations across the LATAM region, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing. You will lead a talented team of payroll professionals while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as HR, Finance, and IT to enhance processes and ensure the smooth operation of payroll systems.

About The Role

  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead the LATAM Payroll Team: Manage and mentor a team of payroll specialists across LATAM, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant payroll processing in multiple countries.
    • Oversee Payroll Processing: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, including salaries, bonuses, benefits, taxes, and deductions, in compliance with local labor laws in each LATAM country.
    • Ensure Compliance: Stay up to date on local labor laws and tax regulations across LATAM to ensure full compliance. Manage statutory filings and regulatory reporting, including tax forms and other required documentation.
    • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes, increase accuracy, and enhance efficiency across the payroll function.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll-related inquiries, address issues, and ensure seamless communication across teams.
    • System Optimization: Collaborate with HRIS/IT teams to ensure payroll systems are running effectively and are updated to reflect changes in local laws and company policies.
    • Training and Development: Oversee the training and development of the payroll team, ensuring they are up to date with changing payroll legislation, systems, and company practices.
    • Audit and Reconciliation: Lead regular payroll audits, ensuring the integrity of payroll data and resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Skills and Expertise

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, HR, or a related field.
    • Payroll certification is a plus.
    • Fluency in Spanish and English is required
    • Portuguese is a plus.
    • Expertise in LATAM payroll, tax, and social security regulations.
    • Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, etc.).
    • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
