How to contribute to our vision
We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager, based in Istanbul, Türkiye, who will be responsible for managing all tax issues of Siemens Energy Group legal entities in Türkiye, with various assignments within CEE tax team.
The responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Coordination of preparation and filing of statutory tax returns in respect of all relevant taxes
- Tax advisory regarding all tax issues including cross-border projects, business restructurings, day-to-day issues etc.
- To be the first point of contact to Turkish Tax Authorities
- Provision of advice in respect of transfer pricing; managing transfer pricing documentation, country-by-country reporting etc. with external tax consultant
- Fulfillment of group internal and statutory reporting obligations. Preparation of Current Income Tax and Deferred Tax Calculations for IFRS Reporting Purposes
- Managing and directly being involved in Tax Audits
- Liaison with other group internal tax departments and/or external tax advisors as required, close cooperation with other central functions
- Other tax-related assignments within CEE tax team
- Work closely with all stakeholders to communicate customer needs, adjust requirements based on technical feedback, prioritize requirements, and manage to change priorities.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
- We are looking for someone with a relevant MSc or bachelor’s degree and minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in tax compliance, planning, and reporting, with a focus on corporate tax matters.
- In depth Turkish tax knowledge, knowledge of International Tax Law
- Experience of advising (large) companies on Turkish and International tax topics
- Mindset for digital solutions.
- Integrity and customer focus. Ability to operate effectively and collaborate in a team environment, and build networks with other teams and customers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex tax issues and provide strategic solutions.
- Enthusiasm to learn and proactive mindset. A commitment to staying updated on changes in tax legislation and trends through ongoing professional development and networking.
- Strong communication skills both in English and Turkish to effectively convey tax concepts to non-tax professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
