Compensation: $105,000 - $125,000 per year. You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 10% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.
Marketing Manager - Rare Disease (Hybrid - Aliso Viejo or REMOTE, USA)
Job Overview:
The Marketing Manager, Rare Disease is a downstream marketing role focused on driving commercial growth for the exome and rare disease product portfolios at Ambry. The Marketing Manager will have primary responsibility for defining product positioning and messaging, creating and executing go-to-market strategy, and designing and delivering marketing campaigns that drive awareness, provide education, and generate demand for rare disease testing. This role will include close collaboration within the Marketing team as well as with cross-functional partners including Medical Affairs, Sales, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Legal and Compliance and others.
Success in this role requires strong skills in written and verbal communication, active listening, analytical thinking, cross-functional leadership, building and fostering relationships with both colleagues and clients, and the ability to objectively evaluate and understand the perspectives of different client types on the experience of working with Ambry.
Essential Functions:
- Develop compelling positioning and messaging that differentiates products in the market
- Create and execute go-to-market plans and strategic marketing programs and campaigns to help achieve business results
- Ensure that plans and messaging are aligned with business strategy, reinforce brand positioning, and are delivered effectively to targeted audiences
- Support integrated marketing and communications across a variety of channels and vehicles– internal, external, PR, digital, social, web, etc.
- Act as a brand champion both internally and externally and ensuring full compliance with the brand guidelines and messaging across all solutions and all subsidiaries
- Collaborate across teams to develop key messages for campaigns, programs, and content syndication including thought leadership, market reports, surveys, and client success stories
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of strategic marketing plans including defining success criteria, measuring the effectiveness of initiatives, and reporting on results
- Ensure that marketing and communications efforts adhere to agreed timelines and managing expectations with various stakeholders
- Keep up to date with market developments and competitor strategies
- up to 15% travel

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing or similar marketing roles, ideally in diagnostics or related life sciences roles
- Experience managing marketing program execution from strategic collaboration through completion of tactics
- Experience with project management or workflow systems
- A proven ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Executive Management, and work comfortably in a highly matrixed corporate environment
- Ability to understand business strategies and prioritize activities appropriately.
- Must be able to handle a high volume of projects, under tight deadlines, working autonomously.
- Able to work in a highly matrixed environment and effectively navigate systems/processes.
- Resourceful in solving problems.
- Great teammate with excellent people skills and written / verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, engaged, and accountable. Has the ability to manage multiple workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlines
Preferred:
- MBA, or other related graduate level degree preferred experience
- Prior experience with rare disease
- Clinical knowledge of genetic testing and familiarity with the market landscape and competition
- Critical thinking skills, superior leadership, and cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects and influence multi-disciplinary teams
