Job Responsibilities 
 
Primary responsibility of the candidate will be as a Sales & Use Tax Technical Leader responsible for providing written tax advice to clients, evaluating alternate courses of action to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, recognizing potential tax risks and identifying potential changes in tax policy and regulation.

This candidate will primarily provide the following services to clients within the scope of the larger engagement:

•    tax mapping of client products and/or services to Avalara or Vertex codes
•    researching taxability of client products and/or services
•    nexus analysis
•    exposure analysis
•    customer exemption campaigns
 
In addition, this position will assist in development of marketing materials and approach for TTS client acquisition. Position will include some travel and speaking opportunities for tax conferences (Avalara, Vertex, IPT, COST) and ERP specific conferences (Microsoft, NetSuite, Workday, Intacct).  Requirements 

  • BA or BS in Accounting

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in indirect Sales & Uses Tax Consulting

  • Prior experience supervising SALT professionals on a project or engagement basis

Preferred Qualifications 

  • CPA certified

  • Master’s Degree or JD in Tax
