Job description

At Auterion, we build the future of drones and autonomous robots. Our Zurich-based core engineering team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future drone products. We have further offices in the USA and Germany and several remote working talents developing an open source based software platform, connecting multiple drone, camera and other sensor OEMs with enterprise and government users and third party data processing providers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Flight Testing: Support our flight operations with high volume flight testing to verify that the drones fly safely
  • Assemble and maintain the existing fleet and future UAVs. You will be part of the team responsible for product testing. Flying, flying and more flying!
  • Electromechanical integration, modification and prototyping: Mechanical Design, 3D printing, soldering, assembly, mounting and wiring of electronic subassemblies
  • Become a subject-matter-expert on Auterion hardware and software, including Skynode, PX4, AuterionOS, Auterion Mission Control, and Auterion Suite

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong experience in flying and building drones or autonomous vehicles
  • Have strong organizational skills and you are able to manage several priorities at once
  • Basic understanding of electronics and wiring, soldering, and mounting skills
  • Ability to test and debug systematically to provide clear feedback to the development team
  • Knowledge of EU safety regulations regarding testing and flying UAS
  • You are comfortable representing and demonstrating systems with customers and partners
  • You are a self-starter, strong communicator  and confident decision-maker
  • EU citizenship required
