Job description

ImageX has an immediate opportunity for a talented Copywriter to join our team.  At ImageX, you’ll work on exciting projects in an environment where innovation and learning is prized and everyone’s voice is heard. Your colleagues are passionate about the marketing of web design and development and advocates of open-source and delivering excellence.

This is a part-time contract (~10-15 hours/week) and will require some availability during business hours (pacific time) however the rest of the hours are flexible to complete the copywriting tasks. 

About the Position:
As our Copywriter, reporting to the VP,  Marketing, you will bring your passion and creativity by contributing to a dynamic team and helping ImageX create and maintain a written brand that aligns with our core values and focuses on generating a continuous pipeline of inbound leads and demand.

You will help the marketing team increase lead and demand generation, and expand our reach by generating engaging, original content for the company website, social accounts, and other platforms. You will ensure the content is consistent, insightful, well-written, and appealing to the target audience. 

About You: 
The ideal candidate is a creative, confident professional with excellent presentation and communication skills. You are able to collaborate with thought leaders across technical and non-technical teams to write engaging marketing content for digital platforms. You can think on your feet and see the ‘big picture,’ drawing from best practices, your own research and the knowledge of peers. You have the ability to tailor your message to your audience and invest in the achievement of marketing goals. You’re digitally savvy and you are comfortable operating in a remote environment with a global team across multiple time zones. 

You Need:
  • 2+ years’ of proven experience as a Copywriter or similar role, with a portfolio of relevant work samples
  • Ability to provide B2B thought leadership through interviewing, and the creation of blog posts, articles, ebooks and white papers
  • Strong ability to distill complex ideas into simple, easy to read copy
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of brand development and the ability to maintain consistent brand voice and tone across various platforms
  • Experience writing for marketing and lead generation across multiple channels, including website, email and social
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and the ability to optimize content for search engines and AI search
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills 
  • Superb verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Digital Agency experience 
  • Proficient with Drupal CMS
  • Copywriting or marketing qualification

    Hourly rate 
    $35.00-40.00/hour (*based on benchmarking for our Vancouver location - subject to change based on experience/region).
