Job description

The primary focus of the Regional Account Manager will be educating and promoting pharmaceutical product(s) to Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs) and the associated HCP’s treating patients at the HTC’s.  Education and promotional efforts in HTCs will include interactions with all relevant Health Care Providers (HCPs) who impact patient care within the centers, including but not limited to, Physicians, Pharmacists, P&T Committee Members for the treatment centers, Nurse Educators, office staff, etc.  Territory is defined as Southwest and includes the states of Southern California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah.  

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product and support program services representation, exhibited through expert understanding and knowledge in product and disease state education
  • Executing company approved programs and tools pertinent to the successful education of HEMA Biologics product portfolio
  • Deliver sales results that meet and or exceed sales goals established by corporate leadership
  • Utilization of resources within territory following corporate direction
  • Drive customer satisfaction by building trust through professional relationships within HTC’s
  • Responsible for delivering on-label promotional efforts in support of product approved indications
  • Compliance with all sales and marketing policies, corporate policies, state and federal laws
  • Strategic thinking and planning are required to develop and execute quarterly action plans

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must reside within territory, preferably in city identified as “HUB” city; each sales territory will cover multiple states
  • Must reside within reasonable distance of a major airport
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred
  • Prior experience with complex pharmaceutical sales (orphan drug, specialty product, biologic, oncology, etc.) or medical device required
  • Ability to translate complex medical and scientific information into key sales and marketing messages
  • Documented record of exceptional performance in prior sales positions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Ability to accommodate up to 70% travel by plane, train and/or automobile which includes overnight travel; amount of travel depends on assigned territory.
  • Weekend and evening hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to pull and push items into and out of buildings, trunk of car, and storage areas.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and interact with customers both in person and via email and/or phone.
