Position Overview: 

The Field Operations Solutions Team (FOST) Router plays a strategic role in optimizing daily operations. This position involves analyzing pending work and developing efficient, cost-effective solutions for service and delivery interactions. The Router focuses on reducing travel distances, enhancing productivity, and minimizing customer service failures. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Activity Preparation: Strategically prepare daily routes by assessing pending work and applying logical planning techniques to create optimized schedules.
  • Route Optimization: Analyze data to reduce mileage and travel time for on road employees, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining high service levels.
  • Productivity Enhancement: Identify opportunities to increase productivity by optimizing routes, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Failure Prevention: Develop strategies to anticipate and prevent potential service failures, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with on road employees and dispatchers to align planning efforts with real-time operational needs and adjustments.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze route performance metrics to continually refine and improve planning processes.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on route efficiency and operational performance, providing insights to management for strategic decision-making. 

Qualifications: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in logistics, route planning, or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in route planning software and relevant technology.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams. 

Working Conditions: This role typically operates in an office environment, requiring interaction with field teams and the use of various planning tools and software.

Salary: $23.00/hr.
