Global Supplier Account Manager

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

You are accountable for initiating, developing, and implementing effective Supplier Performance and Relationship.
You will ensure performance (productivity, quality, sustainability, and delivery), growth, and innovation while effectively managing risk and spending.

You are responsible for

  • Peers and key stakeholders: Global supplier account manager/Supplier Quality team /Procurement Engineer/R&D/Operation Material Manager/Suppliers

  • In a global commodity management organization with a global view and deep understanding of the supply base

  • Manage the supply base in not only West Europe but also East Europe.

  • Responsible for managing commodity requirements across units and/or Product Lines or Services with an understanding of product life cycles.

  • Responsible for leading a multi-functional team (e.g. supplier quality, CE-T, and strategic buyers).

  • Responsible for first-time supplier evaluation and review for the assigned scope

  • Responsible for sourcing process for suppliers (scouting and procurement part in make or buy process)

  • Responsible for following the supplier sourcing process for the assigned scope

  • Responsible for developing local/regional/global commodity strategic and sourcing plans with a short to medium-term 1–3 year sight line.

  • More than 10 years of procurement/commodity management in multinational companies

  • Team player, communication/quick learner, sensitive to the data

  • Bachelor's degree and above.

  • Cross-cultural understanding of different countries Negotiation Skills (Game Theory)

  • Knowledge on DfX

  • Supplier and Commodity Scouting

  • Commodity Strategy Development

  • Supply Base Risk Management

  • Total Cost of Ownership Calculation

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Willing to travel up to 25%

Onsite roles require a full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
