Summary of Job Duties:
The Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Social Work Program Manager works under the supervision of the PRI Director of Outpatient Operations to coordinate and implement the clinic’s daily functions in the areas of staff supervision, program policies and procedures, assessment and referrals, and training. This position requires the ability to interact and develop strong positive working relationships with a diverse group of professionals at all levels within the organization, community, industry and state and federal governments. The Program Manager provides direct supervision to Clinical Therapists, or the Supervisor delegate, and indirect supervision to administrative staff. This position will coordinate team meetings and administrative links between education and research within the psychiatry, psychology, and allied health professionals in the clinic. This role will work with PRI & UAMS Compliance to assure clinical personnel stay in compliance with all state and federal laws. The Program Manager will become a designated “super-user” of the current Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) and will train and assist all clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation meeting all standards of care within the first 6 months in the position. The Program Manager will facilitate leadership activities, assist in the development of new programs within the clinic, continuously update policies and procedures, and develop and implement training agendas at the program level working with the clinic Medical Director, the PRI Adult Psychiatry and Psychology Division, and other staff. The Program Manager will be responsible for hiring and training, discipline and termination of non-faculty clinical staff.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the program’s day-to-day function, both clinical and administrative.
Oversee staffs work toward meeting federal performance standards including meeting documentation guidelines.
Gathering data and presenting it through reports to the Director as requested.
Responsible for assisting in the development.
Implementation and revision of program policies and procedures as needed.
Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of training agendas at the program level, in addition to training new program staff
Assisting with the hiring, training and termination of non-faculty clinical staff.
Over-seeing the referral/assessment process.
Train non-clinical staff how to handle crisis calls and deal with patient crises that might arise during clinical operations.
Maintain awareness of Medicaid, CMS or commercial insurance changes which affect patient care and employee performance.
Provides direct supervision to mental health professionals (clinically and/or administratively) to program staff.
Supervision focuses on (1) quality of care issues, making sure staff are competent/skilled to perform their duties, and (2) service access goals are met ensuring that staff meet job duties including but not limited to productivity standards that are set by the department.
Other duties as assigned.
