The Implementation Consultant - Government is responsible for the successful installation of non-complex new retirement plans, acting as the project manager and consultant for conversion activities. You’ll also act as the point of contact with Plan Sponsors, Financial Advisors, and Third-Party Administrators.

This Implementation Consultant will focus on Government plans under $25MM in assets.

What you will do

  • Lead the successful installation of standard/non-complex new transfer or start-up retirement plan sales, which includes acting as the primary contact for Empower during the conversion process

  • Perform weekly conference calls on assigned sales and consults with various client contacts including plan sponsors, financial advisors, third party administrators, relationship/client service managers, regional sales directors, prior providers, payroll vendors and various internal departments with respect to the timing of conversion, outstanding items, critical tasks, and overall project management

  • Discuss service agreements, contracts and product features with plan sponsors, financial advisors and third-party administrators for suitability and comprehension of administrative duties

  • Review plan provisions with plans electing internal compliance services to ensure accurate restatement of retirement plan documents

  • Coordinate the integration and mapping of payroll files/methods with the plan sponsor to Empower

  • Facilitate the transfer of plan assets and records though written and verbal communication with prior providers, client contacts and various internal departments

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred

  • 1 - 2 years implementation/plan conversion or related retirement plan operations work experience required

  • Proficient knowledge of various IRS codes including 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), and 457(b)

  • Proficient knowledge of IRS/DOL reporting knowledge

  • Proficient regulatory compliance and plan document knowledge

  • Strong attention to detail required

Base Salary Range

$63,100.00 - $89,125.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
