Job Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze and present target company financial information and develop accurate valuation models.
Drive acquisition activities by sourcing and executing acquisitions of vertical-market-software companies.
Engage shareholders and financial advisors in a meaningful dialogue maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive all stages of the M&A process including drafting letters of intent, conducting due diligence, prepare investment memorandums, and help draft and negotiate final purchase agreements.
Identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics.
Maintain and build a proprietary database of industry contacts and acquisition targets.
Plan, develop and conduct prospecting campaigns through email, outbound calling, automated marketing, attendance at trade shows, and in-person meetings.
Job Qualifications:
Experience at a top-tier accounting firm, consulting firm, investment banking, with preference given to those with an accounting degree and audit experience.
Excellent academic performance in an undergraduate degree and rated as a top performer at your current employer.
Strong Excel skills, proficient in building complex models and highly quality decision making and problem solving.
Strong time management skills, detail-oriented and able to grasp new concept quickly while dealing with initial ambiguity and imperfect data.
Able to work variable hours with high career ambitions to grow in the M&A group, and wider organization as a leader of tomorrow.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the confidence and polish to speak with Senior Executives, prospects, lawyers, accountants and investment bankers.
Business Development Executive (Mergers & Acquisitions)
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, driven, focused, and dynamic individual with effective business-to-business prospective and pitching skills. This position requires a confident, charismatic, innovative and business-minded person who can generate and nurture leads, while overcoming objections effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct industry and competitive research to identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics.
- Engage with target business owners, shareholders and senior executives regarding the potential acquisition of their business.
- Develop and grow a deal pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts i.e. email, phone, LinkedIn, conferences, trade shows and professional contacts while engaging regularly with existing leads in our database.
- Make recommendations to the senior leadership team of Jonas to pursue new targets and enter new and adjacent markets, based on our aggressive appetite for accelerated growth.
Job Qualifications:
- Demonstrated and committed success in cold calling, prospecting and sales processes
- 2+ years of software sales or business development at an investment banking or boutique M&A broker/advisor
- Desired bachelor’s degree in business administration, business or a related area of study
- Prior software or technology sales experience in a business to business environment or business development in Mergers and Acquisitions is an asset
- Knowledge of Salesforce is an asset
