Overall Purpose of Job 

This role reports directly to the Head of Middle Office Division with dotted line to MBE’s Head of Supply Chain Finance, and is responsible for managing a team that supports all Middle Office activities that relate to the Supply Chain Finance product for MBE, ensuring all processes are aligned to the bank’s rules, policies and guidelines as well as the regulatory and risk framework. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams across MUFG entities (US, London, Singapore, etc.) to support the continued development of the SCF platform, through feedback, design and testing of the SCF solutionand will operate from MUFG’s head office in Amsterdam.

The role includes the following 

  • Support of Supplier On-Boarding/Due dilligenceactivities including KYC 

  • Back-Office Account Reconciliation 

  • Client & Supplier Customer Service 

  • Platform Data Maintenance 

  • Program Monitoring & Optimization 

  • Integration Support & Platform Testing 

  • SCF Process – Design & Support, including design/maintenance of procedures/manuals 

  • Closecooperation with the Head of Middle Office Devision in setting the strategy, direction and objectives for the Team in alignment with longer term MBE strategies 

  • Identifying improvements and new initiatives that optimize the Supply Chain Finance Program 

  • Lead/Coordinate Project/Change Management in the Team - this can be new team specific processes/controls to be designed and implemented 

  • Leading role in embedment of MBE SII & RCSA framework for Supply Chain Finance Middle Office 

  • Leading role in MBE’s Data Management and Governance Framework as Data Steward/Busines Process Owner for the Team 

  • Support onsite DNB inspections, external and internal audits as well as management actions for remediation/closing of findings 

  • Lead, guide and motivate (junior) team members, being a role model for MUFG values and behaviours 

  • Adapt to and identify changes in systems, processes and working practices in order to achieve operational improvement and efficiencies 

  • Senior Liaison and SME for Front Offices and Support Functions, providing guidance with respect to SCF products and processes, governed by internal/external rules, laws and policies 

  • Keep relevant Product, Risk, Governance and Regulatory knowledge/expertise updated 

 

The tasks described above, apply to the business of the Amsterdam, Germany, Vienna Brussels, Madridand London offices of the bank. 

 

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following: 

  • Professional economic/administrative education 

  • Thorough understanding of the Supply Chain Finance products is preferred, experience in a similar function or relevant area (like Corporate Banking or Middle Office), and experience in managing people, helping to lead, motivate and develop 

 

  • The function requires detailed knowledge of the (intra-)departmental work flows and (operational) processes, the Supply Chain Finance product and platforms offered by the Front Offices (Corporate-, Structured Finance- and Financial Institutions Coverage Teams and Treasury) as well of the applicable internal and external legislation 

  • The function also requires knowledge of and experience with automated database storage, processing and desktop IT skills  

  • Team player and able to co-workin an international team in different locations in continental Europe 

  • Quick learner, problem-solver and result-driven 

  • Independent, self-motivated, with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently; able to influence internal and external stakeholders with strong relationshipi building skills 

  • Ability to work under pressure and to fixed deadlines 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential
