The Team
Re:link is Linklaters’ flexible lawyer platform. We provide Linklaters' clients and practice groups with swift access to a community of high-quality consultants to solve their flexible resourcing needs.
Re:link is a key part of Limitless, Linklater’s recently re-designed Alternative Legal Services offering. Limitless draws together Linklaters’ paralegals, support lawyers, legal project managers and legaltech professionals as well as Re:link consultants. By drawing on talent from across the UK, it embraces a fully location agnostic model, ensuring the firm has access to the widest possible pool of talent to meet client needs.
The Role
At Re:link our lawyers are our lifeblood. We strive to create and maintain a community of high-quality consultant lawyers, united by the opportunity to be engaged in cutting-edge legal work for Linklaters and its most valuable clients, as well as a shared and genuine sense of belonging with the wider firm and its people.
At Re:link, it is the Talent team’s responsibility to grow and retain this community. As a member of the Talent team, you will support our talent attraction and recruitment strategy, helping to identify and attract the very best consultant lawyers to meet client demand, through direct sourcing, research and market mapping. You will also manage and support the many processes and team tasks that underpin the Talent team’s work. The role will suit you if you are energetic and proactive and driven to truly “get under the skin” and take full ownership of the responsibilities that are assigned to you.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Identifying high calibre lawyers to join the Re:link platform through direct sourcing, market-mapping and research, using best practice research methods to build substantial talent pipelines.
- Screening profiles and having initial conversations with prospective Re:link consultants, assessing that they satisfy Linklaters’ expectations regarding expertise, culture and values. Additionally ensuring that all applicants receive communication and updates on their progress.
- Converting initial conversations to applications where appropriate, often with senior candidates, while ensuring that they enjoy a professional, efficient, and personal candidate experience.
- Working closely with the Client team to understand recruitment needs and priorities. This is in relation to “live” client opportunities as well as for the purpose of ensuring that the platform has ready access to a strong growing pipeline of talent.
- Providing “hands-on” support to the wider Talent team by taking ownership of a range of tasks, activities and processes, including process management support for Talent team colleagues in Desk-focussed roles. This includes scheduling interviews, coordinating and tracking check-ins with consultants, taking verbal references, cleaning CVs and updating collateral and templates . It also includes tracking, managing and ensuring the seamless progression of key Talent team processes such as candidate onboarding as well as other team projects, working with the Re:link Operations team as necessary. Keeping the Re:link database accurately updated with Talent team data, notes and collateral is another key element of this role, including in compliance with GDPR.
- Preparing regular reports and analysis in relation to Re:link consultants and other Talent team data for internal stakeholders including Linklaters practice groups.
- Supporting the wider Talent Team generally as part of a collaborative global Talent Team, including providing cover or additional capacity to other team members during periods of high busyness, holidays or other absences, as well as the ongoing development and streamlining of the team’s processes and systems.
- Undertaking other wider Re:link team projects and priorities where so required
You will ideally have/be:
- Direct sourcing recruitment experience within the legal or other relevant professional service sector, with experience in the use of LinkedIn Recruiter and/or other equivalent tools. Market-mapping and research experience also desirable.
- Confident in communicating with people at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoys building strong relationships with the ability to build natural rapport easily and a genuine curiosity concerning the lives and careers of our consultants
- Enjoys putting in place processes and systems and finding opportunities to introduce efficiencies. Very organised and structured, strong process management skills but also pragmatic and flexible. Happy and comfortable with doing regular, repeat tasks as part of key processes.
- Excellent attention to detail is key, with the ability to manage competing priorities and demands from a range of stakeholders.
- Hands-on and willing to “get hands dirty”, team player, dynamic and enthusiastic.
