Job Description

The Associate Director will be responsible for leading and developing highly engaged, top- performing teams of Sales Managers and Inside contracted Sales Agents who sell our portfolio of healthcare products offered to prospects and members over the phone. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage a large staff of work at home leaders and contracted agents virtually and on-site, have a good understanding of call center day-to-day operations utilizing current and future technologies, and the ability to maintain strong business partnerships that facilitate sales operations activities.

Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • providing ongoing training
  • updating process documents
  • monitoring/managing sales results and trends
  • implementing tactical operations for projects, initiatives, and AEP project plan
  • requesting security access, onboarding staff to Humana and assisting with the contracting process
  • budget management, problem solving, analytics, consumer experience
  • Working with external partners to build relationships and manage performance with Humana Market point strategy goals and objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • 2+ years formal leadership experience with direct reports
  • Prior experience in building high-performing sales teams and achieving sales goals
  • Prior experience in partnering across functions to create win/win strategies
  • This position will require about 35% travel primarily for business meetings
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales environment
  • Meet Humana's Work at Home connectivity policy listed in additional information
  • Must be willing to work any shift on any day during business operation hours, including nights and weekends, or any additional hours based on business needs AND during AEP selling season

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 or more years of call-center sales leadership experience
  • Prior experience leading large teams in a values-based culture
  • Experience with the healthcare insurance industry
  • Active Health & Life Insurance Licenses
  • Prior experience coordinating sales operations activities with partners/vendors, including systems migrations

Additional Information

  • You must be able to obtain your active Health Insurance Licenses as well as the AHIP certification within the first 90 days of employment

  • Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership.  (See Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL Connection in Exceptions, Section 7.0 in this policy.)
  • Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota.  Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$75,000 - $103,200 per year


 

This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
