What You'll Do:
- Participate actively in squad meetings, planning sessions, and daily standups to stay aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Verify that features and bug fixes meet Canopy’s development standards and contribute to app stability.
- Document functionality and maintain organized, up-to-date test cases using TestRail, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Collaborate with Technical Support Engineers and Engineering to resolve high-priority customer bugs by identifying issues and driving solutions.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential bugs and enhance application performance.
- Partner with the Philippines team on coordinating regression testing, squad work, and special projects, ensuring quality and completion.
- Use Jira to track feature and bug status within your squad, maintaining clear and accurate updates.
- Own the release process for your squad’s features and bug fixes, ensuring quality and readiness for deployment.
- Act as an advocate for quality across Canopy, supporting continuous improvement and playing a vital role in maintaining high standards for every project.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in Manual Quality Assurance or a similar technical role, with strong skills in manual change-based and regression testing.
- Proficient in debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving, with a willingness to dig deep to identify root causes.
- Experience with tools such as Postman (for API testing), Jira (for tracking), and familiarity with Browser DevTools, Data Dog, and Sentry for backend testing and monitoring.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, set clear expectations, and represent QA’s work effectively.
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in quality, recognizing the impact of your work on Canopy’s app stability and success.
- Comfortable working within Agile frameworks and sprint cycles, with a desire to adapt quickly and expand skills in a dynamic environment.

Interviewing @ Canopy:
We know application processes can be a little stressful. Here’s are the stages of a typical interview process:
- Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it’s a mutual fit!
- 20 minute phone call with the People Team
- 45-60 minute video or in-person interview with the Hiring Manager
- 1-3 rounds of interviews depending on the role
- Final Interview
Interview processes can vary depending on the role. The People Team will give you a role specific overview of the process during your first phone call.
Remember: This is your interview too! We know candidates are evaluating us just as much as we are them. We encourage you to bring questions to each of your interviews—our hiring teams will always make sure to save time for questions at the end!
