The IT Network Solutions Architect designs, develops and implements network architecture solutions to address business challenges, aligning with enterprise architecture standards. The architect researches and develops cutting-edge network products, services, and applications while ensuring compatibility and integration across interdependent technologies. This position requires hands-on involvement in designing, building, and implementing solutions, as well as mentoring and leading team members in network solution deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Architecture Design and Implementation

• Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance PGE's network technologies, supporting Cloud, WAN, LAN, Data Center, and Internet connectivity services.

• Create detailed network component specifications and translate them into implementable designs using selected products.

• Specify and design large or complex network systems, ensuring efficient resource utilization and integration of multiple systems and technologies.


Technical Leadership and Consultation
• Provide expert advice on technical aspects of network system development and integration.

• Ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices, including security protocols.

• Collaborate with business partners, network operations, network architects and project teams to implement technical solutions.

• Conduct formal reviews of network activities, resources, processes, products, and services to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Emerging Technology Integration

• Monitor the market for emerging network technologies and assess their potential value to the organization.

• Identify new hardware and software technologies relevant to network infrastructure and contribute to staff and management briefings.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance

• Evaluate and conduct impact analysis on major design options, assessing and managing associated risks.

• Ensure network system designs balance functional requirements, service quality, security, and systems management needs.

Consultancy and Stakeholder Management

• Understand client requirements, collect data, and deliver analysis and problem resolution for network-related issues.

• Facilitate stakeholder groups and enhance client capabilities by ensuring proposed network solutions are properly understood and exploited.

Compensation Range:

$87,225.00 - $145,375.00

Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
