Job description

Trolley Collector Driver - Woolworths Penrith
  • Earn the title of Trolley Tamer, the unsung hero of car parks everywhere

  • Flexibility to suit your lifestyle with part time and casual opportunities available and shifts starting early mornings (6am starts) or evenings (4pm starts) and weekends

  • Start your career journey with a company that has endless opportunities

Welcome to the Proactive Services Team

Here at Woolies, we have a team called Proactive Services that ensures trolleys are available to use and that our stores are in pristine condition - this enables our Customers (and your colleagues) to experience an environment that is hygienically clean to work and shop in. You'll work side-by-side with your team whilst bringing a little good to everyone, every day.

What you’ll do

As a Trolley Collection Driver, you will collect trolleys in car parks and surrounding streets using a vehicle. To help you with this, you will be fully trained to operate our trolley collection vehicles and undergo an assessment.

  • Drive a trolley collection vehicle and collect trolleys from car parks and surrounding suburbs

  • Push trolleys up a ramp onto the trolley collection vehicle

  • Collect trolleys left in and around the store and return them to the trolley bays

  • Carry out all pre-start and handover routines for the vehicle

  • Follow all safety and operational processes and procedures related to vehicle operation and trolley collection

  • Follow all road rules and report any issues related to unretrievable trolleys

  • You may also be required to complete cleaning and waste disposal tasks

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring an ambitious mindset, a love of retail, and a passion to grow your career in the cleaning and trolley collection space and beyond.

  • You must hold a full (unrestricted) Australian drivers licence, Provisional P2 drivers licence (Green P Plates) or full International Licence

  • Physical fitness is essential for this role, as you will be transitioning from driving a vehicle to physically collecting and loading trolleys throughout your shift

  • Availability to work across Monday-Sunday and shifts starting from 6am or 4pm

  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Note: Woolworths Group is an inclusive, team-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential. If you meet some, but not all of the requirements above, we urge you to please still submit your application.
