International Application Readers for Duke Kunshan University

 

International application readers are part-time/seasonal positions that assist the staff in the Duke Kunshan University (DKU) Office of International Enrollment Management (IEM) to perform selected duties during seasons of peak activity. 

Readers work 20 hours per week on average from mid-November or mid-December through mid-March. Please note that these are part-time, seasonal positions that require annual reappointments. This is a remote position. Training will be on-site. 

 

Work performed:

  • Readers perform a review of student applications for admission to Duke Kunshan University; analyze the qualifications of prospective students using established University admissions standards; submit evaluations and assessments to the DKU IEM staff.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior experience in reading and evaluating applications for highly-selective schools is desired.

  • Outstanding communication, analytic, time management, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to prioritize work effectively, be responsive to deadlines and feedback, and work well under pressure.

  • Well-developed computer skills and the demonstrated ability to adapt to new software programs are crucial. 

  • Must have a computer and high-speed internet access, wired or wireless connection to internet provider at a quiet and private location.

  • Must demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

  • Candidates must be self-directed and able to work independently.
