Role Overview:
The Manager Customer Strategy partners with Brand, Finance, Supply Chain & Customer teams to develop cohesive customer and channel strategies and solutions that drive sustainable business growth. Responsible for growth mapping, investment strategy and target setting and facilitation and support of target delivery. This role is the primary liaison between customer-facing organization and cross-functional collaborators. This person must be able to understand all aspects of DSMP at their customers and must be able to balance the needs of the business and the needs of the customer. Supports forecasting internally and externally, management of risks and opportunities, and collaborates with other support partners (Category & Commercial) to develop materials for high-level customer meetings. Supports plan building with a focus on growth and investment strategy across all levers for multiple time horizons.
Responsibilities:
- Identify the intersection of customer & commercial needs and develop solutions to advance the business
- Set volume and investment targets and ensure delivery of targets through analysis and collaboration
- Support forecasting and forecast reconciliation through internal planning processes
- Set channel/customer strategy to deliver sustainable and profitable growth while partnering with customer teams to customize for individual customers
- Support annual and joint business planning, balance short and long term goals and tradeoff decisions
Qualifications:
- Highly collaborative; ability to build rapport, influence, and drive decision-making and build consensus across functions
- Discerning; Delineate and prioritize critical work; ability to balance multiple workstreams simultaneously and offer deep singular-subject matter expertise as needed
- Superior strategic thinking and ability to connect the dots; foresee potential outcomes to various scenarios in real time
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and generate insights and learnings; strong financial acumen; experience extracting and manipulating point of sale data
- Experience interacting with retailers and supporting customers teams as well as experience working in a headquarter role
Experience & Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 5+ years experience; Customer Sales, Revenue Management, Category Strategy, Category Management, Sales Planning, Commercialization
