Job role
The Occupational Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (OH&S) Officer oversees and coordinates all OH&S and Wellbeing matters in alignment with the Allianz Services Standard for Occupational Health and Safety, following the local implementation guidelines for Allianz Services Romania.
What you will do
- Coordinate OH&S and Wellbeing communications by managing all communications and interactions related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Wellbeing, ensuring alignment with company standards
- Administer employee account management by overseeing the process of creating and deleting employee accounts in the AC&CA system, ensuring accurate and timely updates
- Conduct training and safety sessions by organizing and facilitating training for designated First Aiders and Fire Wardens to ensure effective emergency response and safety preparedness
- Perform workplace inspections and audits by conducting regular workplace inspections to identify safety hazards and carrying out comprehensive audits of Safety and Health processes, including internal audits and floor walks
- Oversee compliance with employee health supervision requirements and monitor the completion of annual mandatory health check-ups
- Manage safety equipment inspections by ensuring the inspection, maintenance, and refilling of fire extinguishers and the review of first aid kits to maintain compliance and readiness
- Develop and implement safety policies by creating and executing comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance workplace safety culture
- Lead wellbeing program development by designing and executing holistic well-being programs that align with company values, including an annual well-being strategy and various wellness initiatives throughout the year
- Analyze wellbeing initiatives effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data on participation rates and the effectiveness of well-being initiatives, using findings to drive improvements and adjustments
- Support employee wellbeing by serving as a point of contact for employees seeking guidance and support regarding well-being, while collaborating with HR to integrate well-being initiatives into employee benefits
- Monitor compliance and reporting by ensuring timely completion of all annual deliverables and reporting obligations related to safety and well-being, while staying updated on changing regulations and industry best practices
What you bring
- Health & Safety Inspector Course - minimum 80 hours
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in a similar position
- Strong knowledge of OH&S regulations, knowledge of Romanian safety laws and standards for compliance and safety
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety programs
- Excellent communication skills for training and engaging employees
- Ability to analyse safety data and prepare clear reports for stakeholders
- Commitment to developing comprehensive employee wellbeing programs
- Proactive problem-solving skills to identify and address safety issues effectively
You have
- In-depth understanding of local and international health and safety regulations and standards
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential hazards in the workplace
- Skills in creating and delivering training programs related to health, safety, and wellbeing
- Capability to analyze safety performance data and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and engage employees
- Experience in developing and implementing emergency response plans and managing workplace incidents effectively
