Finlays is seeking an accomplished Sales Executive with sales experience and contacts in the Private Label (PL) beverage retail industry and B2B manufacturers. Responsible for all sales activities from generating leads to closing sales in assigned channels with primary focus on creating sales opportunities in the ready-to-drink PL beverage market. Manage all business relationships for assigned and potential customers. Work closely with Sales Management, Marketing, and Applications to create and present solutions that address a market/customer need or opportunity. Assure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlays mission, values, ethics and goals.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Achieve annual revenue and sales targets.
  • Use and maintain Salesforce to prospect strategically, manage prospects and build a strong pipeline.
  • Build the sales pipeline to achieve growth objectives both short and long term.
  • Manage and develop customer relationships to achieve account base sales goals.
  • Build business partnerships with key decision makers at existing customer base.
  • Contact new customers to learn their business and understand their needs.
  • Using technical, organizational and industry knowledge, offer the best Finlays solution to drive growth and increase profitability.
  • Create and use a yearly sales plan with formal objectives for the assigned customer base. Present plan and updates at quarterly sales meetings.
  • Understand pricing and cost models. Negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Complete training to be knowledgeable on Finlays product portfolio, beverage industry trends, coffee market, and competition.
  • Work cross functionally with Applications, OPS, and QA on custom projects.
  • Leverage Marketing authored trend and market data presentations to provide insights to customers.
  • Using Rally dashboard, provide insight on key performance metrics of revenue and gross margin.
  • Collaborate monthly with Demand Planner to accurately forecast volume requirements. (S&IOP Process)
  • Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Update job knowledge by reading industry publications, maintaining professional network and participating in educational opportunities.
  • Engage in personal development by recording goals and timelines established by you and your manager.
  • Represent the company at tradeshows, association meetings and business functions.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Achieve annual company revenue plan.
  • Customer satisfaction is measured by annual Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Active participation in the S&IOP process measured by defined accuracy target.
  • Manage customer communication daily using Salesforce CRM.
  • Complete and submit commercial reports on time.
  • Manage expenses and travel budget.


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE AREAS: 

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales objectives and quotas.
  • Ability to professionally interact with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter, organized, able to prioritize and multi-task with leadership skills.


EDUCATION and REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS / BA in Business or Food Science and 1-3 years professional selling experience in the Food & Beverage Retail branded or private label industry OR
  • 2-4 R & D / technical experience supporting outside sales.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Travel and work flexible hours as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
