Position Title: Mid-Level Accountant
Work Set-up: Work From Home
Salary: Php 40,000.00 – Php 60,000.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM PH Time

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A MID-LEVEL ACCOUNTANT

Responsibilities as a Mid-Level Accountant:
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian standards.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations for accounts payable, receivable, and bank statements.
• Assist in preparing BAS, GST, and PAYG submissions and support year-end tax preparations.
• Generate regular financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure adherence to ATO regulations and assist in audit preparation when required.
• Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with Australian payroll regulations.
• Review and monitor business expenses, ensuring all expenditures are recorded and aligned with budget goals.
• Perform analysis of accounts to identify discrepancies, variances, or inefficiencies, providing insights for cost-saving initiatives.
• Recommend improvements in financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with senior accountants and finance managers on financial strategies and long-term planning.

Qualifications as a Mid-Level Accountant:
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years focused on Australian accounting practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks; advanced Excel skills are preferred.
• Strong understanding of ATO regulations and tax compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, able to work in a remote team setting.
