Position Overview:
As an Account Executive at CSI-DMC, you will leverage your elevated event experience and proactive approach to generate leads, convert them to sales, and build lasting relationships with clients and hotels. This role is ideal for a motivated college graduate with strong people skills who thrives in a dynamic sales environment. Senior-level candidates with 5+ years of DMC experience will also be considered. Account Executive to be based in Nashville, TN, this is a Remote position.
Core Responsibilities:
Identify and cultivate new lead opportunities.
Convert leads into closed sales.
Research client needs and develop compelling proposals.
Working together with multiple departments to design custom proposals that meet client objectives and budgets.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with partners and clients.
Meet and exceed established sales targets.
Attend industry events to expand network and stay current on trends.
Engage in internal training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Develop initial P&L statements, contracts, and supporting sales documents.
Track client interactions and implement follow-up strategies throughout the client lifecycle.
Maintain accurate and organized business files and databases.
Ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years in the hospitality industry, preferably on the events side; DMC experience is highly regarded.
- Logistics Proficiency: Strong understanding of event planning logistics and client management.
- Multitasking Skills: Ability to manage multiple clients and programs simultaneously.
- People Skills: Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Detail Orientation: Strong focus on solutions, details, and effective multi-client management.
- Budget Management: Experience in financial tracking and contract negotiations.
- Tech Skills: Proficient in computer applications with a quick learning curve for new technologies.
- Sales Record: Proven ability to source leads and convert them into sales, consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Presentation Skills: Exceptional ability to influence decision-makers with compelling presentations.
- Organizational Skills: Self-directed with a proactive work ethic and strong project management capabilities.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt schedule for client needs, including potential evening and weekend work.
- Certifications: CMP or DMCP designation is a plus but not required.
- Destination Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the local market and understanding of the offerings and services available in the city.
- Collaborator: Proven ability to work in a team environment and provide contributions and leadership.
