Data Science at TRACTIAN

The Data Science team at TRACTIAN focuses on extracting valuable insights from vast amounts of industrial data. Using advanced statistical methods, algorithms, and data visualization techniques, this team transforms raw data into actionable intelligence that drives decision-making across engineering, product development, and operational strategies. The team constantly works on optimizing prediction models, identifying trends, and providing data-driven solutions that directly enhance the company’s operational efficiency and the quality of its products.

What You'll Do

As a Junior Data Scientist at TRACTIAN, your role will be focused on supporting the data science team through data labeling and information validation for machine learning models. You will be responsible for filling in detailed information into forms, validating data output from predictive maintenance models, and ensuring the accuracy of datasets related to industrial machinery. In addition, you will create scripts, perform web scraping and web crawling to enrich our databases with relevant industrial data. Your work will directly contribute to improving the performance of our machine learning algorithms, focused on the maintenance and operation of industrial machinery. This position requires knowledge of industrial equipment and proficiency in Python for automation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fill in detailed forms and ensure data accuracy related to industrial machinery and maintenance.
• Validate and label data used in machine learning models, ensuring it aligns with real-world industrial processes.
• Develop and maintain scripts for data enrichment, including web scraping and web crawling to collect relevant industrial data.
• Use Python to automate data collection and processing workflows.
• Collaborate with the data science team to refine datasets and improve model performance.
• Utilize ChatGPT and other AI tools to assist in data validation, enrichment, and automation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of TRACTIAN’s database by ensuring high-quality data inputs.
  
  
  

,Requirements

• Basic understanding of machine learning models and experience in data labeling.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance processes (preferred background in mechanics, engineering, or industrial operations).
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, data automation, and web scraping.
• Experience creating and using web crawlers and web scrapers to collect and validate data.
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT to assist in automation and data enrichment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
