Job Title: Remote Legal Administrative Assistant (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $1,200 USD/month paid through bank deposit via Gusto

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm EST

Job Overview:

Our client is a Criminal Defense and Immigration law firm. Their mission is to provide quality legal services to the undocumented, or legally vulnerable Latin American community in Northern Virginia, and as well as to protect immigrant rights rights and ability to reside, and thrive in this country even after legal trouble.


We are seeking a bilingual, highly organized and proficient legal administrative assistant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess strong knowledge of Google Calendar, Sheets, Documents, Folder Management, Pipedrive, LawPay, and RingCentral.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead Intake & Scheduling: Manage lead intake, gather necessary information, schedule consultations, and maintain communication with leads using Merino Law Office's internal communication platform (e.g. RingCentral) while working remotely.
  • Client Management: Follow-up with clients through email, phone, text, or chat using RingCentral, refer out cases as needed, input bad leads into designated channels/sheets, and notify clients of case closure.
  • Payment & Communication: Collect payments using LawPay, send payment reminders to clients via RingCentral, answer simple inquiries via text messages, and address client concerns professionally.
  • Document Management: Assist attorneys with basic document drafting and document management, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements using Merino Law Office's secure file-sharing platform (e.g. Google Drive).
  • Case Management: Open new cases in our CRM (Pipedrive), update court dates, close cases once resolved, maintain accurate notes on client interactions, and ensure case-related information is archived for future reference using Merino Law Office's internal communication platform (Pipedrive).
  • Calendar & Meeting Management: Update event titles in Google Calendar, perform schedule checks routinely, and send meeting reminders as needed using Merino Law Office's internal communication platform.



Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Proficient with Google Calendar, Sheets, Documents, Folder Management
  • Familiarity with using CRM programs, such as Pipedrive
  • Strong communication skills via email, phone, text, and chat
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Legal industry experience preferred but not required
