Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is is hiring a Solutions Architect to support a Federal Client in Washington, DC. This is a full-time (remote) position with our company. Must be a U. S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Overview:

The Solutions Architect will evaluate business needs and determine how IT can support the needs with software, hardware, or infrastructure. Is responsible for evaluating systems as a whole, including information security architecture or application design and development needed to efficiently fulfill user demands. Will participate in readiness reviews and serve in an advisory role for decision gates.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be up to date on computing technologies and trends, and effectively communicating complex IT concepts to management and IT partners. Principal responsibilities include:

  • Participate in architecture reviews to support automation and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
  • Assess the business impact of various technical decisions.
  • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
  • Identify the top technology solutions to successfully meet the needs of the organization.
  • Lead organizations through technology adoption and establish architectural best practices.
  • Vet and select technology providers and third-party services.

Education and Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience providing Solutions Architect support.
  • Strong understanding of various operating systems and databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates without a college degree will be considered but must have at least 10 years of relevant software/system or cloud architecture experience.

Required Skills and Competencies:

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

  • Proven work experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role.
  • Some knowledge in ServiceNow, Salesforce, PowerApps, and custom development.
  • Understanding of network concepts and solutions.
  • Understanding of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) certification process.
  • Reading architecture diagrams for infrastructure and cloud solutions.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Solutions Architect.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Location:

Remotely from any location within the CONUS.

Clearance Requirement:

U. S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Working Environment & Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
