Job description

Inside Real Estate is a leader in providing technology solutions for real estate professionals. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Director of Product CyberSecurity to join our team. Reporting directly to the CTO, this key leadership role will be responsible for ensuring that our product portfolio remains secure by overseeing our cybersecurity tools, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. You will work closely with senior engineering and technical operations leadership to ensure that security is implemented and monitored throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the successful implementation and monitoring of all security tools across our product portfolio, including DAST, SAST, penetration testing, and SOC2 Compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior engineering and technical operations leadership to embed security practices into the SDLC and ensure ongoing security monitoring.
  • Regularly report on the security posture for each product in the portfolio, ensuring that leadership is informed of any potential risks or vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and update all product security-related RAQ (Risk Assessment Questionnaire) forms for customers.
  • Manage policy updates and changes related to product cybersecurity and ensure company-wide compliance with security standards.
  • Lead incident response efforts, coordinating responses and ensuring proper resolution of any cybersecurity issues.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s vulnerability disclosure email address and related policies to ensure timely handling of security concerns.
  • Oversee security risk assessments conducted by 3rd party partners, including penetration tests and general risk assessment evaluations.
  • Maintain regular communication and strong relationships with our security vendors to ensure alignment on cybersecurity objectives and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging threats to continuously enhance the company’s security posture.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding and experience with security tools such as DAST, SAST, penetration testing, and SOC2 compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing security risk assessments, including pen tests and vulnerability assessments.
  • Proven ability to lead incident response efforts and manage cybersecurity issues effectively.
  • Strong project management skills with experience overseeing security programs and ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and leadership.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in the real estate technology industry or similar fields.
  • Familiarity with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices.
