Job description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Sr Product Manager to join their dynamic team. This remote role is a 6-month contract position, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the expansion of our client's Individual Family Plan (IFP) for the 2026 plan year through market research, product development, and Qualified Health Plan (QHP) Application filing submissions.

As a Sr Product Manager, you will be part of a team of seven other Full-Time Employees (FTEs) in similar roles. Each team member is assigned a group of states/markets and collaborates with cross-functional partners in Sales, Network, Actuarial, and Regulatory teams. The team comprises 2 Directors, 3 Associate Directors, and 4 Sr Product Managers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing market dynamics and evaluating competitor plan offerings
  • Creating state/market-specific portfolios that comply with federal AV and MHP requirements
  • Driving the end-to-end plan design development process by strategizing with partners, conducting market research, and building portfolios based on national and local strategies
  • Executing annual local market strategy development, product deployment, and flawless regulatory filing of all plans and products within assigned states
  • Developing and managing QHP and state-level documentation throughout the filing and objection process with 100% accuracy for assigned markets


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the IFP market and the Affordable Care Act (ACA), with experience in health plan product development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is essential, as is the ability to read and understand federal and state regulations. Strong communication skills, the ability to adapt quickly to changes in work direction, and the capacity to manage oneself through ambiguity are also required.
