Job description

Overview:

 We are seeking an experienced creative professional to lead our in-house team and elevate Plymouth Rock’s marketing creative and communications. Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, this pivotal role involves overseeing creative strategy, brand standards, visual identity governance, and brand voice, while managing the end-to-end creative process for high-impact marketing materials. The Creative Manager will ensure a cohesive and impactful brand presence across all channels and drive creative outputs that directly contribute to business growth, measured through brand awareness, customer engagement, and conversion metrics.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a creative mindset, strong visual intuition, and high personal and team standards. This role combines leadership with hands-on tasks, such as concepting creative assets, copywriting, developing brand guidelines, and managing visual identity. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment, helping to shape new creative processes and strategies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative team in developing innovative marketing materials for digital, social, print, OOH, email, and direct mail, ensuring alignment with funnel phases and medium best practices.
  • Set clear project standards, milestones, and KPIs, overseeing creative projects from ideation to delivery.
  • Partner with Data, Analytics, and Media teams to establish testing frameworks, track content performance, and optimize future campaigns.
  • Lead post-mortem discussions and summarize learnings with actionable next steps for leadership.
  • Mentor a creative team, sharpening their ideas and craft while fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and agency partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies to continuously improve creative output.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to brand standards, visual identity governance, and voice and tone guidelines across all creative deliverables.
  • Support operational and employee engagement initiatives with creative solutions that enhance brand visibility and impact.
  • Manage resources, including creative budget allocation, to optimize outputs and meet business needs.

Qualifications and Education

  • A./B.S./B.F.A. required in advertising, communications, or marketing.
  • 8+ years of content strategy and execution experience, with proven leadership in a fast-paced, high-execution team.
  • Familiarity with specific creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.)
  • Must provide an online portfolio of work.
